Because she didn’t like brownies that tasted like they were “store-bought,” or “boxed.” She wanted something entirely different – brownies that were crunchy and delicious on the outside and gooey on the inside. Doesn’t that sound delicious? This recipe is very simple to make, and takes less than 10 minutes. Dianne doesn’t use white flour or white sugar, which makes these brownies a whole lot healthier! Here is what you’ll need: – 1 cup of softened butter – 3 eggs – 1 teaspoon of vanilla (not imitation vanilla) – 1 cup of whole wheat pastry flour – 1/2 teaspoon of salt – 2.5 cups organic brown sugar (maple sugar or maple syrup work great too) – 6 1-oz squares of unsweetened chocolate – 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) – organic olive oil spray (like PAM) to coat the bottom of your baking pan To make the brownies: 1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees (this lower setting will make brownies turn out gooey on the inside) 2. Except butter and unsweetened chocolate, place all the ingredients into a stand mixer and mix well 3. Take the chocolate, add it to butter and melt it; then add into the mix 4. Mix everything until smooth, and then stir by hand to make sure that you get everything from the bottom 5. Ingredients:
2 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1 c Chopped nuts
2/3 c Butter or margarine
2 c Packed brown sugar
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
2 ts Vanilla
6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 package)
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add nuts; mix well and set aside. Melt butter in saucepan; remove from heat. (If margarine is used, add 2 tablespoons hot water.) Add brown sugar; beat well. Let cool. Add eggs and vanilla; Blend well. Add flour mixture, a small amount at a time, mixing well after each addition. Spread in greased 9×12-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not over bake. Cool in pan and cut in squares.

Ingredients:
8 oz (1)pkg white cake mix; NO-SUGAR
2 Eggs;
2 tb Granulated brown sugar; REPLACEMENT
2 tb Water
1/4 c Mints chocolate chips;
1/4 c Peanut butter chips;
Directions:
Combine cake mix, eggs, brown sugar REPLACEMENT and water in mixing bowl. Beat in medium speed until well blended and thickened. Fold in chips. Pour batter into two, greased and papered 8-in pans. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until brownies test done. Cut into 2-in squares.

Chewy Oat Bars
2 1/3 cups all purpose flour, divided
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
1 jar (12.25 ounce) caramel ice cream topping
Combine 2 cups flour, oats, brown sugar and baking soda in a large bowl.
Add butter; stir until all of the ingredients are moistened.
Reserve 1 cup of this crumb mixture; press the remaining mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13×9 inch pan.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes until lightly browned.
Remove from the oven.
Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and nuts.
Sprinkle with the reserved crumb mixture(press down).
Return to the oven; bake an additional 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool completely before cutting into bars.
